Working title: Fuglalíf/Birdland

Here is a teaser from our documentary FuglalífBirdland A documentary about the researcher, bird photographer, activist, Jóhann Óla Hilmarsson. It has been quite a long, sometimes difficult process over the past 3 and a half years, but most of the time it's just incredibly amazing. We are almost there! The film will be premiered in spring of 2024.

The old machine shop in the remote town of Þingeyri is like a time capsule, frozen in time. It will reach the ripe old age of 110 years in 2023. The operator will turn 80 and and is about to retire. This will be a 20 minute documentary about the operator, Kristján and the history of the machine shop which for the most part has been kept in it’s original state since 1913!
